The Vampire’s Assistant by Darren Shan is a fiction tale. The author tells a story about himself as a vampire. The book is quite scary. The tale is really interesting and it has lots of details.
The main character is Darren Shan. Darren is an assistant to a vampire called Mr. Crepsley. He is his guardian and teacher, who teaches him about vampires. Later on in the book Darren gets a friend called Evra who is half-snake, half-human.
Darren Shan is a normal school-boy who gets turned into a vampire by Mr.Crepsely in the first book. When this book starts it begins with him stuck with Mr. Crepsley, who he does not like very much. He also misses his family a lot. He travels and learns about vampires. The main thing is that he stopped at a circus where he will stay until one particular day comes in his life.
This book is the second book of the series. The first book is called Cirque du Freak and the third is called Tunnels of Blood.
I chose to review this book because it is quite adventurous and exciting. It has loads of information about vampires. This book is cool and I would recommend this to anyone who likes vampires and violence. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
