Stormbreaker is an action / thriller by Anthony Horowitz which is about a teenage spy. Stormbreaker is one of a full series of Alex Rider novels.
Alex Rider starts his journey on becoming a secret MI6 agent when his uncle dies in a car crash. His uncle was on a mission to spy on the new developers of extraordinary computing. MI6 was suspicious when the company released a new 3D computer, giving all the latest technology to schools all around England.
Alex can’t have his American housekeeper look after him, as her visa expires soon. MI6 come in contact with Alex and take him on a training course to test his abilities to the max. When Alex finds out what his task is and that his uncle died on this particular mission he declines but MI6 persuade him to accept.
Alex looks around to see what’s happening. When Alex finds a message from his father, he pieces everything together and finds out what’s going to happen to English schools all over the world.
Stormbreaker won the New York Times #1 children's bestseller. Stormbreaker was published on the 4th September 2000.
I would recommend this book to any person over 10 -years- old. I think it’s a great book with very descriptive words and phrases. It would have to be a five star!
