He is the main character; a normal teenage boy. Throughout the book Adrian is in love with a girl called Pandora, a feminist who goes to his school. Adrian believes that he is an undiscovered intellectual. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Poland was a dreadful country to be in World War II because of lots of concentration and extermination camps. If you were a Jew there your life was in constant danger, for the Nazis were everywhere, ready to shoot at any moment.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
