Jasper: RuneScape Music Video

My RSMV (RuneScape Music Video) is a music video recorded in the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) Runescape (created by Jagex).

I first started playing the game in October 2006 (under the name of “Nytestryke24”- see film credits). “Apocalyptica-I Don't Care+ IntroPath” video clip was produced in December 2008. This is the last video of eight (so far!). It is also the first video I have made which has a different song for the introduction (“Path”, also by Apocalyptica).

I used an unregistered Hypercam 2 (a free screen recorder, created by Hyperionics) to record my user’s avatar saying the corresponding line of the song and in some cases using the game’s pre-programmed animations (emotes) available to the player. I then edit the recorded clips using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8 Platinum (Windows Movie Maker could also be used). Sony Vegas Movie Studio has made a lot more things possible and I would recommend it to anybody looking for good quality video-editing software.
