Italian Section Literary Contest 2010

Once again, this year the Italian Section organized the Literary Contest: “Italiano, che passione!”.

Strongly committed learners of Italian, 48 students participated enthusiastically in this initiative. For the competition, Mr Talevi matched mother-tongue students of the same age with students who were learning Italian as third or fourth language.

The competition took place in the Chapel on the 27th October and all participants had a great time. In this third edition the chosen theme was “An unusual  (love) story”. 

The stories ranged from passion for cars to gypsy ballerinas. There was none of this wishy-washy, smoochy, romantic clichés, instead the students provided us with hardcore love affairs.

The Judges team was made up of all the teachers from the Italian Section. They read all the short stories, voted and published the competition winners.

Simon Sharron will present the winners with a prize voucher, donated by CESPA, during a ceremony in the Head teacher’s office.

• 1st place: Clara Francesca Clark Nevola
• 2nd place: Maxine Kaisin & Antonella Tabasso
• 3rd place: Dmitry Popovichev & Amin Nour
