Marco Talevi who organised the event said, " It's great that this event started off just as an Italian Literary event and now it's gone school-wide with great success!. The standard was incredibly high and it was difficult to jedge the winners." Mr Sharron, awarding the £50 book vouchers to the winners, hailed the event as a tribute to George Orwell. author of "1984", who is buried under his real name of Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950) in the Sutton Courtenay Parish Church cemetry less than a mile from the school.
