ESC U14 Girls 2009-10

Under 14 Girls Basketball – COUNTY CHAMPIONS!

     At the end of the match – European v Cherwell – everybody was ecstatic. We always thought we could become county champions but I don’t think anyone could imagine the feeling we would get.

     This could never have happened if Mr. Carlos, our coach, wasn’t so dedicated and willing. He coaches us every Thursday and if he’s ever busy, he’ll get an older girl to coach us. We learn so quickly and progress a lot. I certainly have gotten better and can now stay in a match for at least two quarters without complaining! – It was a big problem before. :D.

     This year a lot more girls have joined our juniors training, which was great because we had a strong team. Unfortunately some of us are leaving because we’re going into 4^th year and joining the seniors, so we would really like to see some more girls going to juniors training to keep the U14 team.

      Next year we have to work harder, shoot better and dribble faster in order to go far in the Nationals. We got to the first round this year but unfortunately lost to Aylesbury. It was a difficult match, but an amazing experience!
